Gazprom’s satellite financing eases into orbit

Gazprom Space Systems has put in place several credit lines to finance the construction and launch of two satellites.

Coface, the French credit export agency, is supporting a Eu225m loan arranged by BNP Paribas, Citi and Crédit Agricole. The same banks are providing a separate $298m credit line which Gazprom, the borrower’s parent, is guaranteeing.

Both loans were partly sold down to Natixis and Société Générale.
