Clarisse bolsters HSBC junk bond business

HSBC has hired veteran leveraged finance banker Douglas Clarisse to boost its high yield bond business. His appointment as a director comes as the bank consolidates its new global capital financing division, which includes leveraged and acquisition finance.

Clarisse, previously at BNP Paribas, is based in London and reports to Jackie Allen, European head of leveraged and acquisition finance, and Russell Schofield-Bezer, head of European debt capital markets and derivatives.
