  • For the high yield market, the new year means a new chance to try to beat its issuance record, for the fourth year running. With European issuance reaching a €60bn high in 2012, bankers are eager to bring more deals this year, and market conditions are encouraging.
  • Cerved, the Italian provider of business credit information that premarketed a bond issue last year, has been sold to CVC Capital Partners. The private equity firm is expected to try to raise about €780m in a debut high yield transaction for the company.
  • A new year – a new chance for the high yield market to attempt a new issuance record. With European issuance reaching a record €60bn in 2012, according to Fitch, bankers are eager to bring more deals this year, and technical factors are encouraging.
  • Dematic, the materials handling machinery maker, has announced the redemption of its 8.75% 2016 notes. The $300m of senior secured high yield bonds, sold in April 2011, will be redeemed today (Wednesday).
