UBS in London has hired Ronan Clarke, senior research analyst in high-yield at J.P. Morgan Securities in London, as head of high-yield research. He starts next week and reports to Duncan Warwick-Champion, who was recently promoted to head of European credit research, a position previously filled by Chuck Mounts. He in turn was promoted to global co-head of credit research.
Warwick-Champion was previously responsible for investment grade telecommunications, media and technology research. He will continue to cover this sector in investment grade and high yield, according to an individual familiar with his plans. Warwick-Champion declined comment and Clarke was between postings and could not be reached.
At J.P. Morgan, Clarke covered industrials and reported to Katherine McCormick, managing director and head of European credit research. McCormick declined comment.
