Italy ponders maturity of its new global bond as volatility continues

The Republic of Italy is poised to issue its final dollar global bond of the year offering investors the last opportunity in 2003 to buy liquid sovereign dollar debt. A mandate could be awarded as early as today (Friday). The only open question relates to maturity.
