William Hill and Reed seek forward starts, Marston’s signs
More of Europe’s corporate borrowers are considering forward start facilities to refinance their syndicated loans. Although few forward starts — refinancings agreed in advance in which the borrower starts paying higher margins immediately — have been signed so far, the tool has proved popular both with borrowers seeking guaranteed long-term lines and lenders wanting immediate increases on the interest they are receiving.
