KKR picks Mukadam for special situations

KKR Asset Management, part of US private equity firm KKR, has hired Mubashir Mukadam as European head of special situations. Nat Zilkha, co-head of special situations with Jamie Weinstein, will relocate to London as the firm looks to expand its special situations business in Europe.

Mukadam joins KKR from York Capital Management, where he was a managing director. At KKR he will focus on secondary purchases of distressed assets and rescue lending in Europe. He will report to Zilkha and Weinstein.
