The ECB this week gave the capital markets a clear indication that its monetary policy will remain extremely loose. It has tweaked not only its inflation target but its forward guidance, which outlines how it plans to achieve this. But what does that mean for borrowers and investors in the capital markets?

While much of the talk at the start of the year around the world was of falling central bank asset purchases and rising rates in response to rising inflation, now it seems the ECB has killed off any prospect of that happening in the eurozone. 

This week, we discuss whether that is a good thing for capital markets.
