Yorkshire Water shrugs off negative press

Yorkshire Water priced a £350m bond inside fair value on Tuesday, shrugging off allegations that it had failed to properly report dumping waste water, although a few investors did raise the subject during marketing.

The BBC’s Panorama programme claimed earlier this month that the Wetherby treatment plant run by Yorkshire Water had illegally dumped untreated sewage into the River Wharfe last year, and did not report the activity to the Environment Agency as required.
