UOB appoints new chief sustainability officer

Singapore’s UOB has appointed Eric Lim as its chief sustainability officer, a newly created position to support the bank’s focus on ESG, which got a fresh impetus this week with the sale of the lender’s first sustainability bond.

Lim will lead the bank’s corporate sustainability team, which will focus on developing a sustainability strategy, as well as develop and monitor key performance indicators of the bank’s sustainability goals, including its carbon footprint target, according to a press release on Friday.
