Investors flock to Hong Kong green bond

Hong Kong’s government returned to the green bond market with a $2.5bn triple-tranche deal this week, making the most of growing investor demand for sustainable investment opportunities. Morgan Davis reports.
Hong Kong established itself as a leader in the green market in Asia in 2019 when it sold its debut green bond. That $1bn five year deal was highly anticipated at the time, as only a few sovereign borrowers had ventured into the market.
