EasyJet extends govvie funding after first ever loss

EasyJet, the UK budget airline, has extended its Covid-19 emergency government loan to November 2021, and reported the first loss in its history.

EasyJet has a £600m loan from the UK government’s Covid Corporate Financing Facility. This was due to be repaid in March 2021, but has now been staggered, with half to be paid on the original due date and the other half next November.
