Caution prevails after ‘perfect storm’ hits bank credit

Financial institutions are waiting to see whether investors will step back into the credit market before attempting to bring new deals forward this week.

There had been a reasonable pipeline for new bank bond issuance over the coming days. 

But deal arrangers are advising their clients against rushing into new transactions, following a deep sell-off across markets on Monday.
