Formosa seeks $2bn, set to create new pricing benchmark for Taiwan loans

Formosa Plastics Corp is seeking a $2bn loan that bankers expect to be priced at a record low for borrowers from Taiwan, setting a benchmark for future transactions.

Formosa’s subsidiaries are acting as borrowers for the facility. They have sent out a request for proposals to banks, inviting them to submit pricing pitches for a five year tranche and a three year tranche that comes with a two year extension option.
