Wilmar, Swire Pacific raise sustainable financing

Singapore’s agribusiness company Wilmar International as well as Hong Kong conglomerate Swire Pacific have both raised sustainability-linked loans.

United Overseas Bank provided the $200m two year facility to Wilmar, with the interest rate pegged to pre-determined indicators. It will measure Wilmar’s performance on corporate governance, carbon emission, land use and biodiversity, community relations and supply chain practices, according to a press release on Tuesday.
