Syndicate still ‘best seat in town’ says Carter on leaving Commerzbank

The European bond market has lost none of its charm or interest, said one of its most experienced bankers this week, on the verge of his retirement. Hugh Carter, Commerzbank’s head of credit syndicate, is leaving the bank on September 18.

Based in London, Carter reports to Jo Heppe, head of global syndicate in Frankfurt, and is also deputy head of global syndicate. His replacement will be announced in due course.

The credit syndicate team includes Markus Steilen, who leads on corporate bonds, and Rémi Veyrenche and Roberto Anaya ...
