US companies sell $19bn of convertible bonds in June

US companies sold $19bn of new convertible bonds in June as the rush to tap the market for financing during the Covid-19 global pandemic continued, with little sign of slowing down.

There were 25 transactions last month that raised a combined $19bn, including SoftBank’s jumbo $2bn bond exchangeable into T-Mobile US stock, according to Dealogic data.
