Kotak Mahindra plans $1bn equity fundraising

Kotak Mahindra Bank’s board of directors will meet on Wednesday to determine the size and method for an equity capital fundraising plan that could be worth as much as $1bn.

The bank is looking at options including a private placement, follow-on public offering and qualified institutional placement (QIP), or a combination of all three, according to an exchange filing on Sunday.
