Wild swings in emerging market bond prices have been painful for investors this month. It is a problem that banks’ market making capabilities have compounded.

EM fund managers have had an bad March. The spread of the coronavirus and its economic impact has battered their assets under management.

That perfect storm has created a market defined by redemption requests on one side and plummeting bond prices on the other.
