Moody’s creates global ESG position

Moody’s Investors Services has beefed up its coverage of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, naming a veteran analyst as its first global head of ESG.

Brian Cahill will take the job on February 1, according to a press release from the company. Cahill, who joined Moody’s in 1996, is currently the regional head of the Asia Pacific corporate finance group. The rating agency has not yet named his replacement.
