IHS Markit and Tadawul plan for indexation of Saudi local bonds

IHS Markit and Tadawul, the Saudi Stock Exchange, are forming a partnership to create indices for Saudi Arabia’s local currency bond and sukuk markets.

While Tadawul will provide market data on the markets, IHS Markit will bring its experience in constructing benchmark bond indices to the project. The partnership will form part of the country’s efforts to expand and modernise its local fixed income market.
