Trump Turkey tweets impact ‘muted’

US president Donald Trump’s salvo of tweets against Turkey, which threaten economic sanctions, have had only a muted effect on the Turkish curve, as investors' scepticism towards Trump grows.

Trump, on Monday, tweeted that if Turkey did anything he considered “off limits” (regarding Turkey's military in Syria and northern Iraq following the US Army's withdrawal), he would “totally destroy and obliterate” the Turkish economy as he has “done before”.
