Telefonica Deutschland launches Schuldschein using blockchain

Telefonica Deutschland launched a €200m Schuldschein on Thursday, which included a €50m one year tranche that was placed using blockchain technology.

DZ Bank and LBBW are arranging the €150m traditional portion of the Schuldschein, while LBBW is leading the €50m blockchain tranche.

Telefonica is selling traditional Schuldschein notes at seven, 10, 12 and 15 years. Pricing margins are 55bp-65bp, 70bp-80bp, 80bp-90bp and 90bp-100bp, respectively. The 12 and 15 years ...
