Dubai Airports signs $3bn loan

Dubai Airports has signed a $3bn syndicated loan to finance the expansion of its Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central Airport, also known as Al Maktoum International Airport, in Jebel Ali, in preparation for the World Expo 2020.

The facility comprises a $1.625bn conventional loan and a $1.475bn Islamic loan or ijara, in dirhams, according to a statement from the Dubai government’s media office on Sunday May 14. Both tranches have seven year maturities.
