Doosan Infracore pays up as market volatility bites

South Korean heavy industry company Doosan Infracore Co priced a new bond on Tuesday, giving investors a break from the procession of offerings from China. Although Korean borrowers are known for their aggressive pricing strategy, recent market volatility forced Doosan to pay up.

Doosan last tapped global investors for funding in September 2012, selling a rare 30 year non call five senior offering. The structure was the first of its kind in Asia at the time, with Doosan selling the $500m notes at a coupon of 3.25%.
