UBS has hired a trader and a banker for its asset-backed securities team in London. Ximo Vicent, an asset-backed securities trader at Citigroup Global Markets in London, recently joined as an executive director-ABS trading. In addition, Greg Kosinski, an ABS banker at Banc of America Securities in Charlotte, N.C., has joined in the new position of executive director, ABS banking, in London.

Vincent replaces Lucas Nowak who has moved within UBS to trade financial credits, according to Andrew Allan, head of asset-backed securities syndicate and trading. "Ximo adds a new dimension to our ABS business and his trading acumen is first class," Allan said. Vicent was out of the office last week and could not be reached for comment.

Kosinksi reports to Steve Skerrett, head of asset-backed securitization and origination. "We will be making a couple more additions to the team in line with our growing business," said Skerrett. Kosinski declined to comment.

At BofA, Kosinski reported to Adam Garfinkle, head of ABS/MBS finance. Garfinkle was out of the office and could not be reached for comment.

At Citigroup, Vicent reported to Jim Higgins, head of credit trading. Higgins declined to comment on Vicent's departure or plans to replace him.
