BNP Paribas in London has lost another bond salesman and three credit traders. The departing credit traders are Loic Montserret, Yassir Benjelloun andChristophe Denoux.
Montserret has started at Nomura in London as v.p. in corporate trading in the credit investment group. He reports to Jamie Barratt, head of credit group international, who said Nomura is expanding product and geographical coverage and has recently hired eight professionals in London, New York and Hong Kong. At BNP, Montserrat reported to Stephane Delacote, head of options and arbitrage trading. Delacote was out of the office and could not be reached for comment.
The destinations of Benjelloun, an asset swaps and convertibles trader at BNP, and Denoux, a financials trader, were not disclosed. At BNP, both reported to Pierre Matthieu, head of credit derivatives, who did not return calls.
Meanwhile, Mazin Albayati, a senior bond salesman to central banks, has joined Deutsche Bank in London as director and head of Middle East rate sales, reporting to Ahmed Mualla, head of Middle East sales. Mualla declined comment. At BNP, Albayati reported to Rick Corbisiero, head of bond sales. Corbisiero was on vacation and could not be reached for comment.
The departures follow the recent exit of senior salesmen Alberto Matta and Fabrizio Boaron (BW, 7/5), who have joined ABN AMRO and UBS, respectively.
