Lehman Brothers has hired Peter Hammack, equity derivatives structurer at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York, as a v.p. of equity volatility trading. He will focus on trading structured products, according to an official. Hammack had been out of the industry since leaving CSFB six months ago.
Lehman's decision to hire Hammack is part of the firm's gradual expansion of the trading group, according to Kerrie Cohen, spokeswoman at Lehman Brothers. She declined to elaborate further. Hammack declined comment.
He reports to Siggy Thorkelsson, managing director of equity volatility trading. Thorkelsson referred calls to the press office. While at CSFB, Hammack reported to Paul Callelo, global head of equity derivatives. Callelo declined comment.
