HSBC has hired two senior foreign exchange executives to head its emerging market options and corporate and institutional structuring business. Vincent Craignou, head of global fx options at ING in London, will be a director and global head of emerging market options, while John Bradley, v.p. in fx options at AIG Trading Group in Greenwich, Conn., joins as head of corporate and institutional fx derivatives structuring for the Americas in New York.
The hires will help HSBC compete with the top-tier fx houses, according to Matt Desselberger, global head of fx options in London. The firm is likely to add more fx professionals in the coming months, he added.
Bradley will report to Chris McHugh, global head of fx derivative structuring in London, and Craignou will report to Desselberger.
Andy Muncer, a spokesman for ING, confirmed Craignou's
departure. Beth Cutler, a spokeswoman for AIG Trading, declined to comment.
