Merrill Lynch has lost two heads of equity derivatives desks in the last few weeks. Olivier Deloire, head of EMEA equity-linked trading in London, retired and Agnes Lerouge, head of retail structured marketing, quit to join Barclays Capital. Lerouge reported to Joachim Willnow, head of the EMEA structured solutions group. Deloire reported to Simon Brookhouse, head of the global equity-linked group.
Market officials said Lerouge will report to Giles Rothwell, global head of investor solution sales in London. Rothwell and Kerry Goodwin, spokeswoman at BarCap in London, declined comment. Richard Creswell, spokesman at Merrill Lynch, confirmed Deloire's retirement, but declined comment on Lerouge.
