Kate Spilman, an oil derivatives marketer at Bank of America in New York, has joined ABN AMRO's nascent U.S. energy trading operation in a similar position. The appointment gives the Dutch bank six energy marketers and traders in New York, noted Wayne Harburn, global co-head of commodities, who added the firm is looking to add another trader and marketer to round out the Big Apple desk.
Last quarter ABN hired William Foley and Bruno Stanziale, two senior oil and gas marketers at Deutsche Bank in New York.
ABN is also building up a European energy marketing and trading operation in London under the leadership of Harburn and Vincent Chevance, who joined earlier this year from BNP Paribas.
