The International Swaps and Derivatives Association plans to work with other trade associations to write a paper detailing the most significant issues relating to material non-public information in Europe.
Richard Metcalf, senior director of policy and co-head of ISDA's European office, said, "This is not a compliance manual. It's an issues paper, showing that we are taking these issues seriously and have thought about them." The paper will be a follow up to the work on the North American market it published last year in conjunction with The Bond Market Association, the Loan Syndications and Trading Association and the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers.
