John Cusins, co-head of financial institutions derivatives marketing at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in London, has resigned. Market buzz suggested Cusins is heading for a buyside firm, but he declined comment when reached on his cell phone. Louise Beeson, spokeswoman for Dresdner, also declined comment on the departure and Cusins' replacement.
Cusins was responsible for interest rate derivatives and co-headRaffaele Ricci covered credit derivatives. Ricci did not return calls. Several officials said Cusins is well-respected in the market and his departure will be a blow to the German house. Ricci and Cusins reported in to Garrett Curran, managing director and global head of derivatives, who could not be reached for comment.
