HSBC in London has added a lawyer and a trader to its fund derivatives desk. Georgios Sittas, senior fund-linked trader at Lehman Brothers, is set to join as a director in a similar role, and Dan Robey, formerly legal counsel at Bank of America, will fill a front-office legal position. Both will report to Steven Phan, co-head of global structured fund products in London, who did not respond to messages. Phan himself joined from Merrill Lynch last year with a view to building out the business (DW, 4/29/05).
Calls to Lehman were referred to Mark Lane, spokesman, who declined comment on a replacement for Sittas. Bank of America officials said Robey has been replaced internally.
