Credit Suisse has hired Oliver Neumann, a senior equity derivatives flow trader from Deutsche Bank in London. Matt Downer, managing director and head of equity derivatives and convertibles at Credit Suisse in London, said Neumann's start date has not been decided, but he will join later this year as a director and be an addition to the group. Frederic Gabriel, director, also joined the group from Merrill Lynch in August. Downer declined comment on the reason for the hires.
Earlier this year, Credit Suisse lost Michael Pringle, former head of equity derivatives, to Merrill (DW, 6/30) and Takashi Makita, a senior equity derivatives flow trader, to Deutsche Bank (DW, 8/11).
