Lazard replaces Goldman as BTA debt advisor
Lazard has replaced Goldman Sachs as an advisor to Kazakhstan’s BTA Bank, which is trying to restructure $15bn of debt. Goldman, which resigned last month, was rumoured to have cut its ties in response to BTA prepaying some of its lenders after April 20, when it announced a halt to all principal payments.
