Spanish volatility stunts new issue hopes
Refreshed volatility in Eurozone sovereign debt on Monday dampened hopes of a buoyant week for new issues. SSA bankers had been hoping the week would open on a positive note, after difficult trading in the first week back for Easter, but Spain’s yields put a spanner in the works — they rose above 6% a number of times on Monday.
