A sharp drop in Portuguese yields today fuelled by domestic technical month-end buying stood out amid otherwise dormant peripheral secondary markets which appeared becalmed after a shaky couple of days. Meanwhile Ireland hopes its yields will follow Portugal’s after potentially finding a new buyer for its debt.
