UK DMO smashes records with 2052 syndication

A tap of the UK’s 2052 conventional Gilt on Tuesday smashed records as soaring investor demand produced the issuer’s fastest ever book build and tightest long-dated yield print. Demand was so strong for the Debt Management Office’s (DMO) deal that it risked turning the syndication into a bunfight, as the issuer received more than £8bn or orders within 15 minutes of opening books.
