Ben Martens, government bond strategist at Lehman Brothers, is leaving the research team to join the firm's proprietary trading desk.

Ben Martens, government bond strategist at Lehman Brothers, is leaving the research team to join the firm's proprietary trading desk. Martens was ranked second in the 2004 Institutional Investor All-America Fixed-Income Research Team and reported to Jeffrey Biby, head of liquid markets strategy. Martens' duties are being taken over by Jennifer Lee, government strategist, Lee said. Biby did not return calls.

Martens said in an e-mail he's moving to try something new but declined further comment. Further information about Martens' new duties could not be determined by press time.
