Carl Stewart, head of European marketing and structuring in London at RBS Financial Markets, has joined General Re Securities in the same role. He covers all derivatives asset classes, said Kevin Lecocq, managing director and global head of marketing and structuring. Stewart, who joined two weeks ago and reports to Lecocq, declined to comment.
Stewart will head up a team of six structurers and eight salespeople, according to Lecocq. Gen Re Securities also has a team of 16 marketers and structurers in New York and 10 in Tokyo. The role of European head of sales, which Richard Fedrick held before he joined Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, has been expanded as part of Gen Re Securities' decision to expand its product base (DW, 1/14), said Lecocq.
