U.S. Equity Sales Head Leaves Position At Salomon

Charles Miller, head of U.S. institutional equity sales at Salomon Smith Barney in New York, left last month amid a reorganization of the firm's equity sales team.

Miller had been with the firm for more than a decade. He is thought to have left at the same time as Ken Farrar, global head of equity derivatives sales to institutional clients (DW, 9/24). Both reported to Andy Constan, global head of equity derivatives in New York. Joe Elmlinger, global head of structured equity products in New York, has taken the expanded role of global head of derivatives marketing. Constan and Elmlinger did not return calls.

Miller is believed to be looking for a similar job and has interviewed at several bulge bracket banks, according to officials familiar with the situation, who declined to name the firms.
