Banc of America Securities plans to make new hires for its New York-based equity derivatives trading operation, said officials familiar with the firm. It could not be determined whether the recruits will fill newly created positions or replace departed staffers. Jennifer DiClerico, spokeswoman at BofA in New York, did not return calls.
BofA plans to hire several traders in the coming months, said officials familiar with the firm. The new hires will report to Ben Wilkinson, head of global equity financial products trading in New York, who declined comment.
BofA recently appointed Tom Kenny to its equity derivatives trading floor as well as adding Steve Moses to its equity derivatives sales team, both of whom joined from Morgan Stanley (DW, 2/3).
