Merrill Lynch has hired Julia Posacki, an interest rate derivatives structurer and marketer at Goldman Sachs in New York, as an associate marketing debt derivatives to corporates. Meanwhile Liz Yu, an interest-rate derivatives marketer at Merrill, has taken a new role as a director in corporate derivatives marketing at Credit Suisse First Boston. Tim Davenport, who heads derivatives solutions in New York, declined comment. The two moves are not thought to be related, according to an official.
John Gallagher, spokesman at CSFB in New York, said Yu, who could not be reached, is filling a newly created seat because the firm is building its team in response to growing business. She reports to Lee Mallett, head of the structured debt capital market group in New York. Mallett did not return calls.
