Deutsche Bank has hired two Goldman Sachs interest-rate derivatives traders in New York for similar positions. Thomas Luke, who headed exotic interest rate derivatives trading at Goldman, and Geoffrey Verter, who worked for Luke, have joined as director and v.p., respectively, according to an official.
Luke and Verter will focus on trading municipal and inflation derivatives, reporting to Peter Antico, head of interest rate options trading in New York. Antico was traveling and could not be reached. Michele Agostinho, spokeswoman in New York, declined comment and neither Luke nor Verter could be reached.
Ed Canaday, spokesman at Goldman Sachs in New York, did not return calls by press time.
