Merrill Lynch has hired Chris Sullivan, v.p. in equity derivatives sales at Banc of America Securities, as a director in a similar role. At Merrill, Sullivan reports to Mickey Strasser, head of equity derivatives sales, according to Michael DuVally, spokesman in New York. He declined further comment, Strasser did not return calls and Sullivan could not be reached.
Separately, Ted Post, v.p. in equity derivatives marketing at BofA, has also left the firm but is not yet thought to be joining a competitor, said an official. Both Sullivan and Post reported to Dean Curnutt and Ian Reisner, co-heads of institutional sales in equity derivatives in New York, according to Tara Burke, spokeswoman. Neither Curnutt nor Reisner returned calls enquiring about replacements.
