Altaf Kassam, an official in Goldman Sachs' equity derivatives research group, is joining Deutsche Bank in a similar role. Kassam, reached on his cellphone, confirmed the move.
At Deutsche Bank, he will report to Leigh Baxandall, director of European equity derivatives strategy in London. Baxandall's team grabbed second spot in last month's Institutional Investor equity derivatives analyst rankings. Baxandall did not return calls.
Kassam reported to Massoud Mussavian, head of European derivatives and trading research at Goldman Sachs in London. The Goldman research team was runner up in the rankings. Mussavian declined comment.
