JPMorgan is transferring Clarke Pitts, head of equity derivatives in Tokyo, to London in the coming months to assume a role within the equity division, according to firm officials. Pitts oversees equity derivatives sales, trading and research for Japan and spearheaded the firm's effort to establish a credit and equity joint venture structuring desk in Tokyo (DW, 11/17). He declined comment. JPMorgan watchers said Pitts will move to London this summer but were unclear on the reasons behind the move or what his new role will be.

Mika Watanabe, spokeswoman in Tokyo, declined all comment.
