SG Corporate & Investment Banking is planning to expand its equity derivatives flow sales to institutions to capitalize on this increasingly active market sector, said David Escoffier, head of equity derivatives in London. The aim is to become a leader in this market, he added.
The French group has recently hired several staffers in Tokyo, London and New York to spearhead the effort, added Escoffier, declining to provide details on these hires. The systems and trading are already in place, he said, and the hires have been made to handle the relationships the bank is building.
