JPMorgan has hired Sean Ko, credit derivatives marketer at BNP Paribas in Hong Kong, for a similar role in Seoul. Ko, who started last week, confirmed the move but declined further comment. At JPMorgan he reports to Han Joon Kim, v.p. and head of rates and credit sales in Seoul. Kim did not respond to messages.
Market officials said Ko is a replacement for Sean Kwon, a credit salesman at JPMorgan in Seoul, who recently joined Standard Chartered as a structurer in Hong Kong.
At BNP, Ko reported to Steven Wong, head of fixed income sales in Hong Kong. Wong did not respond to messages.
